Design is a way of thinking and creating value-oriented tools, products and services. It is aimed at making things better for people. It emphasizes that design activity is focused first and foremost on human behaviour and quality of life.

Design encompasses a number of different disciplines. But, it can be mainly divided into five i.e., Fashion and Textile Design, Jewellery Design, Product Design, Communication Design and Interior Design.

Each design discipline serves a particular industry. While Industrial Design is involved with the Manufacturing Industry, Interior Design is involved with the Building and Infrastructure Industry; Communication Design is multi-disciplinary and helps gain visibility in the intended consumer base.
